Skiers are encouraged to join CLCF Nordic and embrace winter! This is a membership category within Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation that provides a parking area and shared trail maintenance for cross country skiing during the winter season.
The kettle moraine landscape with its short steep hills and rolling terrain is ideal for Nordic skiing. With perfectly maintained classic and skate lanes, you can cruise smoothly through the woods. We maintain two cross-country ski areas: Fox Hill Nature Preserve and Rudorf Farm. The Fox Hill Nature Preserve parking lot is at 4200 Sleeping Dragon Road, about a half a mile east of County NN. The Rudolf Farm parking lot is on Division Road west of Hwy, 144.
Click here to download a map of the Rudorf Farm trails.
(Please note: Rudorf parking lot and trails will be closed on January 23, 2019 for tree harvesting.)

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, CLCF is hosting a Snowshoe Shuffle and Dinner. Due to the severe cold weather forecast for our area on Saturday afternoon, we regrettably feel the need to cancel the snowshoe portion of our Snowshoe Shuffle on January 26.
For the diehard outdoor enthusiasts who just can’t resist an extreme adventure, there will be two guides ready in the parking lot to take a short loop at 2:30 p.m. only. Please consider your overall level of fitness and dress appropriately should you decide to join them. The parking area is equipped with a portable toilet, but there is no shelter at the site.
