Prairie Work Days are a great way to spend time outdoors while helping the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation — especially if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty! It’s also a way to get to know the CLCF community and perhaps learn something about your local and native flora and fauna.

The Klingler Fox Hill Prairie, planted in 1999, is part of the larger Fox Hill Nature Preserve property. You’re invited to join us as we work together to remove invasive species. Bring gloves and clippers if you have them; some tools will be provided. A light snack and refreshments will be provided. Visit our volunteer page to sign up for this opportunity or call Mary Krueger at (262) 338-0539.
We’re also looking for someone to help manage our Fox Hill Prairie during the spring, summer and fall months. Please contact us to learn more about this opportunity.
In December of 2014 we planted a 24-acre prairie on the newly-acquired Pick Property. It will be greening up in the summer of 2015. Look for increased volunteer opportunities with this exciting new prairie.
